1. Improving communication with clients
At the recent South East and Thames Valley regional meeting a suggestion was made to produce a 2 part carbon
'communication pad'. This could prove to be a useful tool to record important conversations/agreements that take
place between the client and the SPATA member. By having a method of easily recording conversations, such as
variations, this could reduce the likelihood of disputes later on in the contract. An initial draft version is attached
for any feedback from members.
2. SPATA inspection programme
As you are aware we are working towards a system of conducting a regular pool inspection on our members at
least once every three years. The office is currently telephoning thirty members to advise them that a SPATA
Inspector will be contacting them shortly to arrange a convenient time to perform this inspection. Further information
Regarding this was sent to the relevant members recently.
3. Sad news
We are sorry to advise you of the death of John Peacock from Aqua Services (Oxford) Ltd. We would like to take
this opportunity to pass on our condolences to John's family and to our member company.
We would appreciate your views on this e-newsletter and welcome any information that you feel could
be of benefit to other members.
Best wishes from the SPATA team!
